YOUR INFORMATION, EXPLAINED
Privacy Policy
What you save is personal. Here is how Foundplace handles it.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
1. Who we are
Foundplace is operated by Erol Kütükcü, a sole proprietor in Türkiye and the controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
CEVİZLİ MAH. ZUHAL CAD. A BLOK NO: 46 İÇ KAPI NO: 50MALTEPE / İSTANBUL

This policy covers the Foundplace iPhone app, its share extension, the services that operate your library, this website, and support correspondence. Other websites and apps have their own privacy practices. Our Terms of Use explain the conditions for using Foundplace.
2. Information we handle
- Account information: an account identifier, authentication and session information, and any name or email Apple provides through Sign in with Apple. Your email may be an Apple private-relay address. We do not receive your Apple password.
- Content you intentionally save: links, notes, corrections, selected photos or screenshots, and available source content such as text, titles, captions, images, creator names, and publication details.
- Your organized library: saved-item history, extracted text, image descriptions, summaries, inferred interests, Research and Decision connections, preferences, and information about which updates you have seen.
- Operational information: processing results, request and error records, timestamps, technical information supplied by the app, and connection information such as IP addresses recorded by infrastructure. Processing records may include submitted content and AI inputs and outputs.
- Support information: your email address, messages, and attachments you choose to send us.
We receive the material you choose to share. Foundplace does not automatically import your entire photo library, continuously monitor other apps, or require your social-media password. Saved video links use available source information; they do not mean that an entire video or its audio has been stored or transcribed.
Shared images may be resized, compressed, and stripped of embedded metadata. Identifying details visible in the image remain. These images are saved references, not guaranteed original-quality backups.
3. How we use it
We use information to sign you in, maintain your library, retrieve content from saved links, make saves searchable, and connect related items across your Interests, Research, and Decisions. We also use relevant information to provide support, investigate errors or abuse, protect the service, respond to privacy requests, and meet legal obligations.
Processing can continue after you close the app. New saves or changes to notes can cause relevant earlier content to be processed again.
We do not sell personal data or use saved content for advertising. Private libraries are not public feeds.
Where a legal basis is required, we process information to provide the service you request, for our legitimate interests in supporting and securing the service where those interests do not override your rights, to meet legal obligations, and with consent where applicable law requires it.
4. AI processing
Foundplace uses OpenAI’s API to summarize, understand, and organize what you save. Depending on the task, OpenAI may receive selected saved images or source content, extracted text, URLs and source details, notes or corrections, and relevant context from your library or earlier saves. Saved material may itself contain personal information.
We receive and store the resulting summaries, descriptions, and organization suggestions. This processing takes place on servers, including OpenAI’s systems, rather than only on your iPhone. Providers may retain information under their applicable service and security practices; this is not a zero-retention service.
AI can make mistakes or infer connections that are inaccurate. Check the original source when accuracy matters. Foundplace does not use AI to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, or your legal rights. Your saved content is not sold or used for advertising.
5. Who processes it
We use providers for the following purposes:
- Supabase
- Authentication, database and private image storage, backend processing, and operational infrastructure. These services handle the account, content, and technical information needed to run Foundplace.
- OpenAI
- The AI processing of selected saved information and relevant library context described above.
- Apify
- Extracting available content from supported public links. This involves the submitted URL and available public source information. Our extraction flow does not send your private uploaded images, notes, or account session to Apify. A submitted URL may itself contain personal information.
- Apple
- Sign in with Apple, TestFlight, and App Store services. Apple handles beta feedback and platform diagnostics, and purchase information when purchases are enabled, under its applicable terms and privacy practices.
- RevenueCat
- Subscription and entitlement management when purchases are enabled. RevenueCat may receive an app-specific user identifier, product and subscription status, transaction information, and related technical information needed to verify access. Payment-card details are handled by Apple, not Foundplace or RevenueCat.
- Google / Gmail
- Handling support and privacy email, including your address, messages, and any attachments you send.
- Cloudflare
- Hosting and delivering this website. Requests may involve IP addresses and technical connection or security information needed to deliver and protect the site.
- Source websites
- Retrieving source text or images, or opening an original link. A direct request from your device may reveal its IP address and ordinary connection information to that website or image host.
Providers may use subprocessors to deliver their services. Relevant information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to respond to a valid legal request, investigate abuse, protect security or rights, or obtain professional advice for those purposes.
A publicly available source record may be reused when several people save the same public URL. This does not make your private images, notes, or personal library connections available to other users.
6. Storage, security, and human access
Foundplace uses encrypted network connections, authenticated access, account-based restrictions, and controlled access to private images. Foundplace is not end-to-end encrypted: its servers and service providers need to process relevant content to provide the service.
Human access to raw saved content is not routine. Authorized access may occur where reasonably necessary for support, security, abuse investigations, or legal obligations. This can include examining relevant content or processing records to investigate a failed save or an incorrect connection. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information according to why it is needed, whether your account or a request remains active, and any applicable legal obligations:
- Account and saved-library information is retained to provide your library while your account is active, unless you delete it or request erasure earlier.
- Processing histories and operational records are retained as needed to maintain reliable organization, diagnose failures, investigate abuse, and protect the service. The relevant issue, security need, or legal obligation determines whether continued retention is necessary.
- Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle your request and any related follow-up, dispute, or legal obligation.
- Backups and provider records follow the applicable backup, service, and security lifecycles. Deletion from the active service does not mean immediate removal from every backup or provider record.
You can delete saves and delete your account in the app, or request account deletion by contacting support@foundplace.app. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account.
Deleting a save removes it from your usable library and active connections. Related media cleanup may continue in the background. Earlier processing records may remain until account erasure or a separately fulfilled privacy request; editing or deleting a visible item is not immediate erasure from every historical record.
Account deletion removes your account and owned library information through a cleanup process. Limited records may remain where needed to confirm deletion, prevent erased data from being restored, meet legal obligations, or handle a dispute. Retention for those purposes is limited to the information and time reasonably needed.
Deletion does not remove content from its original website or another person’s independently saved public source. Deleting the app does not delete your account. If you have an Apple subscription, account deletion does not itself cancel it; manage it through Apple’s subscription settings.
8. Your choices and rights
You choose what to save and can edit notes or remove saves. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access or receive a copy of your personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, or request portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
These rights may arise under laws including the GDPR, UK GDPR, and Türkiye’s Law No. 6698, where applicable. Rights under Law No. 6698 include those in Article 11. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority.
To make a request, email support@foundplace.app. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal period, explaining any lawful limitations.
9. International processing
Foundplace is operated from Türkiye. Our providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence, where data-protection laws may differ. International processing is subject to the safeguards required by applicable law. Contact us for information about processing locations and applicable safeguards.
10. Children and sensitive information
Foundplace is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact support@foundplace.app so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
Saved images and notes can contain sensitive information about you or others. Share only material you have the right to provide. Avoid including passwords, authentication codes, full payment details, or private identity and medical documents.
11. This website
This website uses no analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies. It has no account form or mailing-list signup. Fonts and brand images are served with the site. Cloudflare may process connection and security information to deliver and protect it, as described above.
When you use an email link, your email service and Gmail handle the message you choose to send. The app’s operational processing is described separately in this policy.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Foundplace or its practices change. We will update the date above and communicate material changes as appropriate. Where applicable law requires permission for new processing, that requirement continues to apply.
For questions or privacy requests, contact support@foundplace.app, or write to Erol Kütükcü at the address in section 1.
